I've been playing instruments since I was 7 years old and have performed and worked as a musician for over 20 years as well as running a recording studio called Bliss Recording. The adjacent video is a song that I wrote called Cold Breeze. It was recorded in my studio and includes members of the Timmins Symphony on strings.
Over the years I have done a lot of painting as well as graphic design. This ability has also been put to use throughout my career in building brands and marketing. While in university I did a second major in Fine Arts and received a Bachelors degree for it.
I began sailing before I could walk. Having a boat-builder for a Dad meant that I spent my entire childhood running around marinas and sailing on boats. I began racing at the age of 8 and have been doing it ever since.
Over the years my skills progressed and after coaching for several years I joined a team that eventually qualified for the 2002 World Championships. More recently I worked for a company called Spartan Ocean Racing where I professionally raced and coached an extreme form of team building on some of the largest sailing yachts in the world on both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. People would pay for a spot to learn what it was like to race across an ocean and it was my job to teach them, keep them safe, and most importantly, unite as a team.
In 2019 I competed for a second time in the J24 World Championships in Miami. I will sail until I die, it's in my blood.
